Short Intro

My name is Nataatmaja, Pungkas Nataatmaja. Well, it certainly doesn’t sound like a good line in a 007 movie, but it’s true. It was my first experience heading into E3, hearing lots of “E3 veterans” talk about it, I wanted to see for myself how grandiose it was. And in short, it was just that.

So, let me take you on a short tour to E3 from a fresh perspective, as you know, Chris, Jakub, Marcus and Dan has all been there before. When you walk into the door of South Hall, which in my opinion is the most exciting, you are exposed to thunderous subwoofer thumping and giant screens blaring seizure-triggering flashes at you. EA and Blizzard are right there in the front, and their booth displays sure won’t disappoint. Just check out the pictures on the following pages for yourself.

The event is spread out across all of LA Convention Center’s 3 main halls. Approximately 300 yards separate the South Hall and the West Hall (where the console games are displayed). It is but a brisk 5 minute walk, but this walk is often traveled, so light clothing and comfortable sneakers are a must.

My primary task was to take as many photos of the event as possible, giving you a better idea of the whole event, layout and atmosphere, as well as a few surprises. How did I like it, you ask? To sum it up: I want to go again. So, enough with my sub-par writing, and on with the E3 pictur-ama!
