An event of this complexity could never happen without the help of some really important FiringSquad partners.

Electronic Arts
For the third year in a row, EA has been there to setup the gaming portion of our tournament, train people on how to compete, and run a fun and exciting competition. Last year you may recall, EA previewed Battlefield 2 during our event for the first time outside the US. This year all the PC’s were pre-loaded with Battlefield 2 and teams were established in a random order. All in all, there were 3 battles played and the winners from each team received copies of Battlefield 2, Lord of the Rings: Battle for middle Earth, and The Godfather.
EA’s financial reports were released a couple of weeks before our tournament and the one shining star in an otherwise lackluster year came out of Asia. Jack Lin is one of the people who can take credit for this stellar performance out of Asia. Jack will be taking on new responsibilities in China soon. We wish him the best
Our MC extraordinaire was Titus Ou, Product Manager for EA Taiwan. For three years now, Titus has lead the teams through their paces and generated a level of excitement that only a professional MC could accomplish. Thanks for another exciting event Titus!!

Taipei Computer Association
The TCA is one of the most important groups in Taiwan when it comes to the PC market. These guys know everyone in Taiwan and are also the co-organizers of the entire Computex event alongside TAITRA. The TCA helps us by bringing in a lot of the local and Chinese press to cover the event as well as offering us logistics support.
AMD
This year AMD joined us for the first time. We all know and love AMD for being the company that has kept Intel honest over the last 10 years. Their innovation and dedication to producing high performance CPU designs have established them as a leader in the PC industry. The FX line of CPU’s have provided the best performance available for some time now and even with the introduction of Intel’s Core 2 technology AMD has a few tricks up their sleeve that we’ll be seeing in the near future.
Bubba Wolford heads the marketing for AMD’s gaming group and was instrumental in getting AMD onboard for this year’s event. Neal Wang is Marketing Manager for AMD in Taiwan and was very enthusiastic about having AMD participate this year, and made sure that he put together the best possible hardware to bring to the event. Thanks Bubba and Neal!
