Motocross Madness 2
Foliage! Other Vehicles
One of Microsoft Games' earliest PC hits was the original Motocross Madness. With tons of supercross tracks to race on, and vast, open terrain to cruise around in, Motocross Madness satisfied the dirt bike urge in all of us who are too prissy to get mud on ourselves out in the real world. There was one thing missing from the original Motocross Madness though: foliage. That's a problem which has definitely been addressed in the sequel. On the open maps, you'll see thousands of bushes, trees, cactuses, and more. Up to 50,000 trees will decorate each map. The effort doesn't end with the environment - veteran players will notice much more detail in the rider and the bike. Four times as many polygons were spent on them - you'll see everything right down to each spoke in the wheels and nubs on the tires.

Trailer trash
Motocross Madness 2 also adds more settings for you to race in besides open fields. On certain maps, you'll find buildings, and other vehicles like moving trains, and tractors in farmland areas. You can even race around such cool areas as deserted airports and trailer parks. Variable track conditions in these areas will affect your ability to drive (gravel, ice, etc).

Want more authenticity? Bikes in Motocross Madness 2 are modeled after real life racers this time around, and licensed from the actual manufacturer. You'll hear the difference between Hondas, Suzukis, etc. Want to give the game your own flavor? Use the track editor to make your own worlds or customize your rider and bike skins.

Upgrade your bike
One of the most exciting new features is the Pro-Circuit racing mode. This is a single player career mode that lets players start off as rookies dreaming of becoming a Supercross star. By winning events and sponsorships, you can earn money that will let you upgrade your bike - it's a mode that borrows a page from Gran Turismo.
