FiringSquad Summary:
Coming to a final verdict for the game is incredibly tough. As a game, GT4 is a significant improvement over GT3. It does essentially everything that GT3 does, but more. More cars, more tracks, better physics, better graphics, and better sound. Likewise, the combination of force feedback steering and Nurburgring makes for a potent combination.
On the other hand, the “wow factor” that came with the original GT3 isn’t here with GT4. In the last 4 years, we’ve seen enormous improvements in PC graphics as well as word of new upstarts such as Konami’s Enthusia Professional Racing, which may very well be a true GT Killer. Likewise, in the last 4 years, Polyphony Digital has still been unable to secure a license for Porsche, Lamborghini, and Ferrari vehicles. GT4 has the Ford GT and Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren, but where’s my Carrera GT, 997, Enzo, and Gallardo? Description:New and enhanced racing modes include: GT Director Mode/B-spec, GT Photo Mode, GT Career Simulation Mode and GT Arcade Mode encompassing more than 200 championship races, highly detailed car customization and many other innovative options to set the bar as the most complete racing game available. 650 cars, up to 100 courses and unique race modes.
