FiringSquad Summary:

Medal of Honor was one of the best singleplayer first-person shooters ever. It started the trend of creating heavily-scripted "experiences" as opposed to games. Not that we're complaining, but it's getting a little long in the tooth.

Description:
Medal of Honor Allied Assault Breakthrough is the new expansion pack** for the award-winning Medal of Honor Allied Assault. Set in the European Theatre of Operations from 1943-1944, Medal of Honor Allied Assault Breakthrough combines eleven single-player levels with nine new multiplayer maps and includes new locations, new weapons, and new soldiers.

As U.S. Army Sergeant John Baker, players will join the battle at Kasserine Pass in North Africa, race to capture Messina in Sicily, and finally repel the German army at the historic battle of Monte Battaglia in the heart of Italy.

Armed with a new arsenal of weapons, players will fight alone and with squad mates as they rush to stop the Axis powers by striking at the soft underbelly of Europe.

The multiplayer game has been enhanced with the addition of Liberation Mode. In this mode, defeated players must be rescued by surviving teammates to continue the fight. The popular Tug-of-War and Objective modes also return. Players can choose from American, British, Italian, and German skins in all multiplayer modes.

EALA continues to work closely with the Congressional Medal of Honor Society (CMOHS) to ensure the Medal of Honor Allied Assault Breakthrough reflects the ideals and integrity of the prestigious Medal of Honor. Electronic Arts is privileged to be partnered with CMOHS in the Society’s continuing education and awareness efforts. You can learn more about the Society and the recipients at the official Society website, www.cmohs.org.

The team also consulted with Capt. Dale Dye, one of the most respected military technical advisors in Hollywood today, to insure the authenticity of the game. Dye has made his mark with projects such as Saving Private Ryan, Platoon, and Band of Brothers as well as all previous games in the Medal of Honor franchise
