FiringSquad Summary:

Homeworld 2 isn’t the only game where I utterly hated the singleplayer aspect but enjoyed the multiplayer. Return to Castle Wolfenstein was the first. Both games are plagued with unbearable singleplayer designs, but blessed with an interesting multiplayer game.

RtCW had a more engaging multiplayer experience and its singleplayer was merely bland, rather than infuriating – hence it came away with a higher score. However, it’s worth noting that for all the vitriol in the review, Homeworld 2’s singleplayer campaign can be passed and there is a measure of satisfaction in beating impossible odds. Whether or not the frustration of the process is worth it, however, is up to you.

Description:
THE SAGA CONTINUES...

Homeworld 2 continues the epic struggle of the Hiigarans and their leader Karan S'jet. Many thought their hardships would end when they returned to Hiigara, yet fate has not been so kind to the Exiles. Now the Hiigarans face a new and bitter enemy, a renegade clan from the eastern fringes of the galaxy, who wield the power of the ancients. Homeworld 2 chronicles the valiant journey of the Mothership and its crew into the oldest regions of the galaxy to confront their new foe and discover the truth behind their exile.
