Three Unique Classes
The Aliens
As mentioned before the three character classes each have their own unique abilities and weaponry. It will take a different mindset and strategy to play the different races. The Alien for instance, is at a disadvantage due to the small array of weapons it has. While it does have a ranged acid spit weapon, the primary tools of the trade will be its powerful sharp claws and tail. Obviously it will have to get up close to do damage, so the Alien is empowered with incredible speed and the ability to run along walls and ceilings. They can even slip into air ducts to get around the base more stealthily and avoid detection. The Alien also has a somewhat unique (and disorienting) way of seeing. Since the eyes of an Alien are on either side of its head, it has a wider field of vision than humans do. The visual effect of this on the player is somewhat like turning up the FOV in Quake. If that didn't make any sense to you just click the screenshot and you'll see what we mean. Imagine looking at the world through a fishbowl and you've pretty much got the idea.

Predator
The Predator wields the same weapons that were featured in the movie, most notably the shoulder mounted laser cannon with targeting system. Also available are sharp wrist claws, a speargun, and a throwing disc. Best of all, the Predator can hide himself with that light bending cloak suit for the ultimate in stealth. When he moves it will be possible to see the shimmer, so remaining still gives the best camouflage (still not perfect). While remaining almost invisible himself, he can turn on infrared vision to track humans, and another vision mode to see cold-blooded Aliens in the dark. To top that off, a portable medikit will be at Predator's disposal. So with all this high tech stuff at his disposal how come the Predator doesn't beat down both the other characters foolishly? The answer is power. Almost all this equipment requires electrical power, and the small powerplant carried by the Predator will certainly be the most limiting factor.

But here you don't really need it

Colonial Space Marine
Finally, the poor helpless space Marine. He lacks the speed and raw power of the Alien, along with the high tech gadgetry of the Predator. How can he stand up? Well by having the biggest guns of course! The Marine will start out with the fully automatic pulse rifle/grenade launcher combo. Along the way you'll be able to pick up flame throwers, rocket launchers, and the all powerful smart gun which tracks and targets bad guys automatically. To help in finding enemies, you'll be able to use a motion tracker (yes, the one from Aliens), and wear light amplifying night vision goggles. These should come in handy because the other two characters will likely rely a lot on avoiding detection before making a strike.
