Ballistics Report

Pros

Fun and addictive gameplay
Once you get your first kill of a crime boss via your enhanced abilities you instantly want to get all of them and that’s what a game is supposed to do.

RPG-Lite Abilities
It’s a real challenge to max out all of your various “super powers” but you will have a ball doing it.

Vast game world
While you can’t really enter any building the huge Pacific City game world does allow you to jump over them and that’s just cool

Comic book style graphics look
Crackdown’s comic book visuals make it stand out from the horde of similar games.

Cons

Meager multiplayer options
Co-op play via Xbox Live is fun but we really would have liked to have seen some deathmatch and other team based modes as well.

Replay value
The GTA games let you go on side missions like taxi cab or ambulance driver tasks. There’s none of that here.

Music
Rockstar has cool licensed tracks for the GTA series; Crackdown has lots of indie and forgettable tunes for its radio.

Back! Driving and gameplay     Final Verdict Next!
