About The Game
Setting up your lair
For those who are new to the game, Dungeon Keeper is not unlike a real time strategy game. You start out with a sparse dungeon and a few imps to help you. The imps serve as your "peon" or builder monsters. You can order them to tunnel out new dungeons, mine out any veins of gold/gems you find, and construct various rooms in the spaces and tunnels that you carve out of the rock. These rooms serve a variety of roles, such as providing homes for your various monsters, training areas where they learn to fight, play areas for them to relax, and treasure areas for you to store your gold.

Then what?
You use the various monsters to fill out your army, and they can help you attack other dungeon keepers, do-gooders, or defend your dungeon from intruders. The downside is that you need to feed and pay your monsters or they'll leave. They also need entertainment so be sure to make a Casino and Combat Pit for them to amuse themselves. Your creatures can also help you build traps, doors, and other dungeon strengthening devices.
