Gameplay questions
[FS] Tell us more about the mix of RPG and action - is there a lot of interaction
with NPCs, quests, etc?
[AP] The game definitely has an RPG feel. The fantasy story and the quest
based game progression makes Drakan "feel" like an RPG . Other elements of
the game have RPG influences. The inventory and weapon system is very
similar to Diablo; you are always searching for better weapons and armor.
Interaction takes place using what we call a STOMP Scene, a fancy word for
real-time cut-scenes. Since the story of Drakan unfolds like a book, the
STOMP scenes are used to progress the story and give the player quests.

[FS] So how exactly does the dragon riding work? Can your dragon spit fire? Are
there several different dragons you can ride or just the same one all the
way through?
[AP] You will only ride one dragon in this game: Arokh, who is a legend in
the world of Drakan. Flight in Drakan is more akin to Magic Carpet than a
flight simulator. Arokh can hover, strafe, ascend/descend, loop, and soar.
Arokh has five different breath weapons: fire, ice, poison, lightning and
magma.
[SD] Each weapon has a primary and an alternate attack, so he really has 10
different weapons. In multiplayer, you can play several different dragon
skins, including a skeletal dragon.

[FS] What kinds of hand weapons are in the game? Just swords and other hand to
hand weapons? Or will there be bows, etc.? Any spells or magic in the game?
[AP] Rynn can use over 50 different types of melee weapons like swords, axes
and maces. There are three different types of bows and eight different types
of arrows. There are several powerful magic artifacts such as the Wand of
Fire which surrounds Rynn in a circle of flame, burning all enemies within
range.
