Hand to Hand Combat
Not just a pretty face
Sure it's no accident that Rynn is portrayed as an attractive young heroine in the mold of a Lara Croft (ok not QUITE the mold of Lara Croft).
Psygnosis even has a
real life model for Rynn. However, it's worth mentioning that Rynn isn't
just a pretty face - in hand to hand combat she's deadly with a variety (there will be over 50) of weapons. She's also capable with a bow and arrow,
which can be fired from either third person view or first person view, while still moving.

Hand to hand with swords, hammers, or axes involve more
than just hacking and swinging. Pressing attack results in a quick swipe of your weapon, but you can combine motion and attack to give you a couple
other moves like blocks, lunges or stabs with your weapon. Some magical weapons have a limited use, magical attack. For example, the frost axe
that Rick pulled on me can freeze nearby players into ice. The next blow shatters them into neat little pieces. Each weapon has special characteristics including
speed and range.

Don't get hit
Besides blocking, there are other ways to avoid getting hit. Rynn is lithe and athletic, so it's a good idea to use speed to your advantage. Combining the movement keys together you can have Rynn perform some acrobatic maneuvers.Jump and strafe will make Rynn do a sideways flip. Crouch and forward will make her do a quick roll - useful for ducking under a swipe and getting behind your opponent. Crouch and strafe results in sideways rolls. You'll need to master these manuevers, and the proper timing for when to use them to maximize your death matching ability

Lots of us, one dragon
We mentioned earlier, there's a multiplayer mode where all the players are on foot and there's one dragon. This is quite an interesting game style. The dragon serves as a neutral party until he is captured by a player. Until he is though, he'll shoot fire and kick ass on any human player he sees running around the level. To gain control of the dragon, one of the players must find the special item and tame it. Once that happens all the other players should probably band together against the one who got control of the dragon. In the build I played in, the neutral dragon is still a bit overpowered and proceeded to whoop Rick's and my ass everytime we came near it or within line of sight of it. There will be 3 or 4 multiplayer maps that are tailored for this play mode, and 3 or 4 for the other modes (dragon match and hand to hand) for a total of 11 DM maps.
