Ballistics Report
Pros
Gameplay
It may be simple, but the hack and slash levels/loot/skills style never gets old.
Game length
Game length is not as important as it once was, but in a Dungeon Siege style game, having 40-60 hours still helps.
Seamless terrain
There are no level loading points or any other such nonsense. It’s strange that years after the original Dungeon Siege introduced this, its sequel is one of the few games to retain this great feature.
Design
Everything is streamlined and easy to work with, the AI is competent and works well in the roles assigned to it.
Cons
Graphics
There’s no denying that the game could be more attractive, though the graphics don’t actually take away from the experience.
Uneven difficulty
Every now and then the difficulty of the game ramps up out of the blue. It’s not game-ending but it is a jarring experience.
Nothing new
Dungeon Siege II is a spit-shine of the old formula, it doesn’t add much new.
