Ballistics Report
Pros
Long Single Player Campaigns
With three single player campaigns with up to 50 missions each, Emperor has a lot of gameplay hours out of the box.
Classic Westwood Soundtrack
Emperor has just a soundtrack just as good as previous Westwood games.
Free and Promising Multiplayer
Multiplayer games are free through Westwood's online service. If more people played online multiplayer Emperor could be a lot of fun.
Three Unique Houses
Three "races" with unique units and completely different playing styles.
The first 3D Westwood RTS
For you C&C fans out there you'll be happy that Westwood is finally moving into 3D RTS games.
Cons
Heavy System Requirements
Unless you play with ugly graphics, Emperor will bring your system to it's knees.
Emphasis on Micromanagement
Unit stupidity, drastically different movement rates, and a lot of friendly fire forces you to micromanage all of your battles.
Poor Unit AI
Units are pretty stupid - basically the same AI from previous Westwood RTS games.
Nothing New
Emperor is basically the same Westwood RTS they've been making for years, so don't expect anything new.
3D Graphics are Superficial
The 3D graphics are only for show, all the rules of 2D RTS games apply here.
Nothing to do With Dune
Besides the name and the Spice, there's nothing in Emperor that relates to the Dune movie or books.
