Ordos

The...ugly?

The Ordos are considered the most technologically advanced of the three Houses in Dune. It's no surprise then, that their House advantage is self-regenerating technology. Many of the Ordos units are shielded, and these shields will recharge over time after absorbing damage.

Chemical Trooper

The Ordos Chem Troopers are like a nutty version of the Orkin man - they run around (rather slowly) with huge tanks of chemicals on their backs. When in range they fire off clouds of green toxic gas that will kill any infantry that wander close enough to take a whiff. It sounds abusive, but their slow movement speed and extremely short range balance out the Chemical Troopers' power.

Mortar Infantry

If you need to take out infantry from longer range, the Mortar boys are the ones to call upon. Like the Kindjal, the Ordos Mortar infantry have to deploy and make themselves stationary before they can start lobbing the fun down on their opponents.

Dust Scout

Although it only carries one small cannon, the Dust Scout makes up for that with its speed and the unique ability to bury itself in the normally impassable dust bowls of Arrakis. Like a trapdoor spider, the Dust Scout will sit almost fully camouflaged, lying in wait to ambush any units that happen by. Their sight radius decreases a lot which submerged, however.

Laser Tank

The Ordos Laser Tank can hover over the dust bowls, giving it a mobility that rivals that of its brethren Dust Scout. Unlike the Dust Scout, the Laser Tank packs a wallop, with its accurate, turreted laser cannon able to hit high speed units and also fire while on the move.

Kobra

We saved the biggest for last. The massive Kobra is Emperor's answer to the StarCraft Siege Tank. In mobile mode, the Kobra lolls about the map slowly, lugging a fixed cannon. Deploy the Kobra, and the cannon will raise up higher and settle into its movable turret. This gives the powerful gun more range to take out vehicles and buildings from distance.
