Ballistics Report

Pros

Star Wars
Yes, Star Wars is finally cool again. With the DVD release of the dreadful Episode III long gone and over with, we can forget the misery George has inflicted on us in recent years and go back to the warm, loving arms of the original trilogy.

Graphics & Sound
Empire at War is one of the best-looking and best-sounding games out there. A true effort at high production values.

Jack of all Trades
Do you want to direct grand strategy? Involve yourself in space battles? Fight ground combat? Do any of the above against a human? Empire at War delivers.

Patch download system
Yes! Finally! It’s been far too long since publishers took responsibility for their games, took the burden of hosting costs for their patches.

Cons

Master of None
While competent at what it tries, Empire at War definitely doesn’t excel at any single aspect. To get the most of the game you must really want the grand strategy, the space battles, and the ground battles – or you’re just getting partial value.
