In 2003, Interplay officially declared bankruptcy and sold the Fallout franchise to Bethesda Game Studios, a company well versed in serious RPG’s such as the Elder Scroll Series. Since then, fans of the Fallout series have had concern that their beloved game franchise would be changed to match Bethesda’s previous work, which has traditionally been less humorous in tone. Well fans of the series can rejoice, as Fallout 3 is upon us and it contains all the humor and wit that helped make the previous two games incredibly successful. Bethesda has taken the original setup and built on it, using everything they learned in developing games over the years to make an engrossing, entertaining, and beautiful game. Graphics and world design include an amazing attention to detail that draws the player into the game world and the next thing you know, 4 hours (and 3 levels) have passed.
Karma, V.A.T.S., the PIP-Boy 3000 and more all add up to give Fallout 3 a uniqueness that is all its own, while also tying it into previous games in the series. By working on so many different levels, Fallout 3 stays true to the series while also branching off in its own direction, allowing Bethesda to create something that is both theirs and Fallouts. The humor is laugh out loud funny, while the main story is interesting enough to keep the player engrossed. The many side-quests give the player almost too much to do and the huge world where it all takes place is richly interesting in both visuals and history.
Fallout 3 does contain quite a few bugs however and we even had a couple of unexplained crashes to the desktop. These issues apparently plague the console versions as well. We remain hopeful Bethesda is working on a patch for these various bugs, as nothing is more frustrating than spending time on a quest only to realize the NPC who gave it to you has committed suicide. Even with these bugs, it is apparent the time and effort that has gone into Fallout 3. From the visual detail placed on environments to the careful attention paid to established Fallout canon, Bethesda has gone and made a game that is every bit worthy of the Fallout name.
Elemental: Fallen Enchantress Preview Elemental: Fallen Enchantress is a standalone expansion pack and follow-up to developer Stardock's previous game in the series, subtitled War of Magic. That 4X strategy game was highly-anticipated and slated to compete with games such as Sid Meier's Civilization V for your turn-based strategy play-time, but was released in an incredibly broken and unfinished state that it never fully recovered from. Lead designer Brad Wardell apologized profusely to fans and set out with his team to go back to the drawing board and try again.

The Elder Scrolls Online Details Leak - Should Fans Be Excited? The Elder Scrolls Online, long rumored to be in development, was officially announced yesterday. Batman: Arkham City PC Review Batman: Arkham City is the sequel to 2009’s smash-hit action game Batman: Arkham Asylum. As the name suggests, you will be reprising your role as the Caped Crusader and going against an even larger 'prison' filled with Gotham's criminals and villains. A textbook example on how to do a proper sequel, Arkham City takes what worked in the original, excised or improved upon what didn’t, and elevated everything to an even greater scope. The PC version suffered from a few months of delay, but in that time, Rocksteady worked closely to NVIDIA to implement some familiar technologies from the last game, such as PhysX and 3D Vision, along with new DirectX 11 optimizations.
