The Lost Generation

Over 30 years have passed since the end of the Great War. Terrans and Vasudans have strengthened their Alliance and begun the slow, painful task of reconstruction. The Vasudans, under a strong and dynamic emperor, have been considerably more successful than their allies, who are dealing with many social problems caused by the loss of Earth. It seems that though the destruction of the Vasudan home world is devastating, it hasn't quite produced the same level of consequences as felt by the Terrans.

Impending death for that big bathtub

The Terrans, especially the younger ones born after the war, haven't seen Earth and are living in the shadow of their predecessors, the great generation that won the Great War. This produces much discontent and leads to the formation of the Neo Terran Front (NTF), under the leadership of a former GTVA Admiral.

The NTF is an extremist group that wants to abandon all ties with the Vasudans, reform an Earth-centric culture and again establish Terrans as a strong, independent nation.

The Game Begins…

At the beginning, then, the GTVA (your side) is threatened by aggressive NTF expansion in some important systems, and a renewed Shivan attack. The game splendidly balances these two fronts, tying them together strongly with the storyline and missions. Most of the story is revealed through mission briefings/debriefings, a few cutscenes and some in-game dialogue between pilots, captains of ships, etc.

Back! But is it worth 800MB?!     To the Bat-Review! Next!
