Sights and Sounds
Visuals
Visually, this game is a marvel. The water and sky graphics are spectacular. The level of attention given to these details tells me the rest is only going to be better. The amount of colors in the sky were simply astounding, reminiscent of the smog filled LA skyline.

The character animations were even more creative. The Meccaryns look like your average spacemen; they remind me of Buzz Lightyear from the movie Toy Story. The game even has the usual graphics for idling characters. These characters just can't stand still! A mixture of head bobbing, pushups and other assorted movements add life to characters if you leave them alone for long enough.
The Sea Reapers are something else altogether. These sea faring femmes are in no way bashful. With their bluish skin, I don't think they can even blush. In the game, you can play a Reaper named Delphi. The total sum of Delphi's clothing is a tiny translucent shawl that hangs about her waist. The developers have included more clothed versions of Delphi, for those of you with little ones that might play the game.
Aside from Delphi's looks, her movements were amongst the more stunning things about her. Whether in the water or on land the animations were simply amazing. The motions of her arms and legs were completely fluid. While in water, she can swim like a dolphin, my-oh-my what a sight.
If the nymph-like Delphi doesn't impress you, Kabuto will. This character towers over every other unit in the game. Playing with Kabuto is akin to being… well, a giant. Whether he belly flops onto his enemies, or chews them to bits, all the views are fantastic.

Sounds
I'm not sure if the sound was finished in our preview disc, as I didn't hear too many voices, but the music was pretty good. Mark Snow, from the X-Files, came over and did the tunes for them. I particularly liked the music in the levels with Delphi; they had a sort of Enya-esque feel to them. The sound effects were fine but nothing really stood out. The roars emitted from Kabuto, however, really catch your attention. If I had a subwoofer in the office there definitely would certainly have been some rumbling going on.
