Ballistics Report

Pros

Graphics
Absolutely beautiful. The game looks fantastic and performs very well, at least until you throw 200 units into a giant multiplayer battle.

Sound
Crisp, clear, convincing.

No bases…
Base building is getting really tired in RTS games. GC had the right idea by eliminating it completely, GC2 compromises by adding control points. If only the control points were linked nodes…

Music
Ground Control II's music really stands out, I hesitate to lump it in with the sound effects.

Cons

Singleplayer
I've come to hate RTS singleplayer campaigns in general, and GC2 isn't improving my opinion. Though the AI is decent and mission designs are varied, the plot is mind-numbing and the game can't maintain suspension of disbelief. Worse, losing control points behind your lines to stray enemy units is as annoying as it is in multiplayer.

Speech
Learn from Blizzard: hire good voice actors.

Control points
Not actually a bad idea in and of itself, the control point would really work a lot better as a networked node system as with UT2K4's Onslaught game mode.
