CalBear:
Make no mistake, Kingpin is riddled with expletives and vulgarity. From the opening cut scenes, to your interactions with the non player characters, and even in the midst of deathmatches ("Die, you rat f**k!"), you'll be showered with cusswords. Somehow, I didn't feel as overwhelmed by it in the finished game as I did in the demo, but this might have something to do with the fact that I expected it to be there already. If you're looking for an idea as to how much cussing there is, it's more or less like watching a gangsta movie such as Menace II Society. At worst you get characters in Kingpin shooting their mouth off like O-Dog does in that movie. After a while you do get numb to it all.

The sound effects

CalBear:
I was a little disappointed that the effects don't utilize Environmental Audio or A3D, but you still get good separation and a good sense of where to head to when you're embroiled in multiplayer battles. The sound effects from the weapons are very good, particularly the sound of shells hitting the floor as you fire off rounds. The Tommy gun in particular stands out as a cool sounding weapon. Characters yell and scream obscenities in the midst of battle as well as yelp in pain. The yelps of pain that you hear as you turn a flame thrower on an enemy are convincing, sometimes even chilling to listen to. As far as music goes, the famous group Cypress Hill is responsible for the soundtrack, and they did a pretty good job of it, including a few catchy tunes in the game. A definite thumbs up in the sound effects department goes to Kingpin despite the lack of 3D sound support.

 Random Fact
Tommy guns are so named because they were machine guns manufactured by Thompson firearms company (now defunct?). They were popularized by 30s era gangsters like Al Capone and his gang.
