Xbox 360 owners finally get a chance to play Epic's later game in the shooter series later this summer. The Xbox 360 port will contain all of the content of the PS3-PC version released last fall (which Epic claims has sold 1.2 million copies worldwide so far) as well as the more recent downloadable content map pack. The Xbox 360 version will also have five exclusive multiplayer maps and two exclusive characters as well split-screen multiplayer features and of course Xbox 360 Achievements. Sadly there won't be support for downloading and using mods as the PS3 and PC versions have.
There inst much else to be said about the Xbox 360 port; we played it at the press event and it played just like the PS3 and PC versions. It's fast, its exciting and its just as fun as the previously released versions. If you are an Xbox 360 owner you will enjoy the game and you will be able to play it with the new content later this summer.
Other Games
Midway showed off a game that's actually scheduled to be released to stores next week. NBA Ballers Chosen One is the latest game in Midway's pro basketball arcade series that will allow players to compete in matches as well as experience the perks of being a highly paid pro athlete. Again the game is due next week for the PS3 and Xbox 360 platforms.
While they didn't actually show these games at the press event, Midway did say that they will also be releasing more casual based games in 2008 including Touchmaster 2, a sequel to 2007's release for the Nintendo DS. Midway will also launch a free web site sometime this spring that will have over 20 of their classic games playable in a Flash format.
Two game announcements were made at the press event. One was for Blitz: The League 2, a sequel to the controversial 2005 football game set in a fictional league where things like drug use and unnecessary roughness are all a part of the game. More info on the game will be revealed at E3 in July.
The big announcement was of the next game in the Mortal Kombat fighting game franchise and the announcement confirmed what had been leaked on the Internet months ago. This new game will feature a number of the Kombat characters going up against a group of DC Comics super heroes. Mortal Kombat Vs DC Universe will definitely be a new direction for the series including a toning down of the graphic violence compared to previous entries (no you won't be able to rip Batman's head off and see blood spurt everywhere).
A brief gameplay trailer showed Scorpion duking it out with Batman and Midway confirmed that Sub-Zero and Superman will also be in the game but wouldn't confirm anyone else at this point. The new title will also have some interesting features such as being able to fight while characters are in the air as well as locations like the Batcave, the Fortress of Solitute and others. Again expect more info on the game at E3 ahead of its fall 2008 release date
Conclusion
While Midway's slate of 2008 titles isn't numerous the line up does have a lot of promise and potential and if the final games live up to the playable builds we saw Thursday Midway could finally turn their fortunes around. Of course expect more info on all the games in this article in the months ahead.

The Elder Scrolls Online Details Leak - Should Fans Be Excited? The Elder Scrolls Online, long rumored to be in development, was officially announced yesterday. Still in development at Zenimax Online Studios, this MMO aims to combine traditional genre mechanics with the spirit and sensibilities, not to mention setting and lore, of the immensely popular series of single-player RPGs. Batman: Arkham City PC Review Batman: Arkham City is the sequel to 2009’s smash-hit action game Batman: Arkham Asylum. As the name suggests, you will be reprising your role as the Caped Crusader and going against an even larger 'prison' filled with Gotham's criminals and villains. A textbook example on how to do a proper sequel, Arkham City takes what worked in the original, excised or improved upon what didn’t, and elevated everything to an even greater scope. The PC version suffered from a few months of delay, but in that time, Rocksteady worked closely to NVIDIA to implement some familiar technologies from the last game, such as PhysX and 3D Vision, along with new DirectX 11 optimizations.
