Might and Magic

Now this is a game series that helped resurrect a genre. The roleplaying game was almost a memory when Might and Magic VI : The Mandate of Heaven, came out. The only other major RPG title out at the time was Final Fantasy VII - a port from the Playstation.

MM6 was easily the epitome of the singleplayer only computer RPG. It was first and foremost a character development game. Now I don't mean the melodramatic FF7 stuff.
