Ballistics Report

Pros

Physics
Want realistic? How about cars whose aerodynamics are calculated on the spot, whose tires wear out and whose handling changes based on the amount of fuel in the gastank. Oh, and did we mention bumpy roads? None of this freshly-paved track, guys.

Gameplay
All the options, none of the drawbacks… almost. Give multiplayer a try. You’ll get whipped and schooled like a redheaded stepchild, but it’s the most satisfying way to play.

Graphics
Never lush – realistic and Spartan without being ugly. Don’t expect fancy effects, unless they make the game look more real.

Sound
See: graphics.

Cons

Unspecified requirements
They don’t say it, but you all-but-need a steering wheel and pedals. A joystick is tolerable, but forget about using keyboard.

 Random Fact
One of the secrets to NASCAR’s success is that racing in it is relatively affordable. Of course, the big, huge, monstrous 190mph crashes help.
