How Fast is Too Fast?

In the wide, wild world of driving games, there have always been two extremes: simulators that are too hard to drive and arcade-style games that run at breakneck speed but feel nothing like the actual experience of driving. Need For Speed 3: Hot Pursuit is a happy medium between the two: it is just realistic enough to make you feel like you're actually driving and not so realistic that you're afraid to drive over 55.

Not only is NFS a blast to play, it's incredible eye candy. The environments are gorgeous, the cars have a glossy, mirror-like finish, and the lighting, weather and smoke effects make you feel like you're really there.

For all of you racing fanatics, NFS3 features eight tracks, nine cars, and four different race modes. All of the cars in the game can be driven with automatic or manual transmissions. You can race either the Single Race, Hot Pursuit, Knockout or Tournament, each with its own rules and challenges. After you're done, you can replay any race and watch yourself from several different camera angles to get that perfect screenshot (but too bad there's no rewind button…)

Hey, start from the beginning. What's the interface like? Next!
