Plenty of Phat Pheatures
Gorgeous Graphics
All but one of the levels we played had absolutely gorgeous graphics. Nice and appropriate textures and attention to detail small and large made each level a visual feast. Whether driving through a suburban neighborhood, a history museum, or a botanical garden, the graphics were wholly immersive.

A sprinkler on a lawn; a hallway to nowhere in a museum, gravel paths in the botanical garden; the graphics make you feel almost like the game designers were working from actual photos of the locations they were creating. We just can't stress enough how beautiful and realistic the worlds you race through are.

So Real, You Can Taste It
Speaking of realism, the physics of the game didn't slack either. RC cars, especially fast ones, are darn hard to control well. They don't hug the road because of their light weight, they spin out when bees sneeze, they don't have much power to bump other cars around, they flip over easily . . .

Whether or not the game's designers actually studied the locations they built, they definitely went out and played with some RC cars when designing the handling and control for the game. Everything mentioned above can be found fully realized when controlling the game's cars. Plug in an UltraRacer PC controller (much like a remote control for a high-end RC car), and you'll swear you're playing with the real thing.
Powerups!
Of course, the Re-Volt programmers also saw the opportunity to spice up the RC action with a little computer-generated fun. Strewn about each of the courses are icons, and when picked up, will give you a random ability or weapon, from an electric bolt to heat-seeking firecrackers to a nice, random explosion that'll knock you off the track (surprise!).
