Allied Infantry, Buildings
So much stuff, so little time.
The easiest way to relate all the eye popping information about Red Alert 2 is to go through each unit, structure, or attack, one by one. We'll stick with the more interesting stuff.
Infantry
Spy: Spies make a return in Red Alert 2 - they have the ability to slip by enemy defenses undetected and steal Soviet technology for Allied use! The primary defense against a spy is to have guard dogs - dogs can always smell out enemies in their midst!

Navy SEALs: Elite infantry of the Allies, SEAL units can run as well as swim in water with scuba gear.
Chrono Legionnaire: Another elite soldier, Chrono legionnaires have the ability to warp from place to place and attack enemy units with chrono technology. One hit is all it takes to erase an enemy unit from history! You can even erase entire buildings from history. One interesting note is that Chrono erasing makes a good defense against Soviet nuke attacks. If you hear an air raid siren and are afraid a key building might be destroyed, you can quickly "erase" the building with a Chrono Legionnaire. The process of erasing takes a bit of time - if you time it so that the nuke hits while the Chrono Legionnaire is erasing, then the building will be protected from the nuke and warp back in after the nuke explodes. You'll lose your Chrono soldier but hey, maybe you saved a critical naval yard or other structure!

GI: Basically like a minigunner, the GI is a much better basic soldier than the Soviet Conscript. GIs are armed with bi pod machine guns. If idle for a short time, a GI will lay prone and set up his bi pod gun. This mode allows a GI to defend his area with increased efficiency. When on the run, the GI will simply fire his weapon while standing.
Rocketeer: The rocketeers fly about with jet packs and attack the enemy with bazooka fire. He can also walk if you need him to stay on the ground.
Structures
Prism Cannon: The Allies' answer to the Tesla Coil. This defensive structure can zap the bejeezus out of any attacking units. If you build several Prism Cannons in your base, they feed light power off one another, attacking with even greater force than if you had just a couple of them. The effect of light bouncing from one tower to another is stunning to watch.
Weather Control Device: This is the Allies' most powerful weapon. The Weather Control device lets you call in a lightning storm over any exposed area of the map. The visual effects were awesome - the sky darkens, clouds form, and dozens of powerful lightning bolts strike randomly all across one screenful of real estate, devastating units and buildings alike. If your enemy is turtled in behind a thick layer of defense, the Weather Control Device can do a lot toward helping you kick down the front door!
Chronosphere: The Chronosphere allows you to teleport units from one part of a map to another. The obvious use would be to move an army in behind enemy defenses, but Westwood demonstrated other, more defensive uses. You can actually "grab" an attacking force of tanks and drop them into the ocean!
