Angelic Powers

The most significant deviation from the FPS mold is the addition of Requiem's many angelic powers. Sure, plain old secular weapons are included, but you're also provided with a growing number of powerful angelic powers throughout the game.

Up close and personal

The angelic powers are a large part of what makes Requiem an interesting game, so I'm going to go over each one in detail. Although you start out with nothing but Holy Light, by the end of the game you'll be using each class of power in virtually every combat encounter, sometimes even two or more powers at the same time. They are a key element in the game.

Pretty Lights

All powers require a certain amount of Divine Essence, which will regenerate over time. Furthermore, your maximum Divine Essence will also increase slowly throughout the game, giving you the ability to use angelic powers more frequently.

There are three classes of angelic powers: offensive, defensive, maneuvering, and interactive.
