Rainbow is back

Remember that Rainbow Six game? The one where you and your squad of elite commandos had to save the world? Well, guess what? That's right, the world needs saving again. Rogue Spear, the sequel to Rainbow Six, is coming out soon, and the demo is already available. We've poked, prodded, and otherwise manhandled the demo, and we're here to give you the down-low.

Rainbow is the name of the secret organization that silently protects the world from terrorists. Because of its success, heads of state everywhere have come to depend on Rainbow to help them out of tight spots. Rogue Spear starts out with 'business as usual' in the international crimestopping field, but events take place that reveal that this business is anything but 'usual.'

Bad Boys

Your crack team of agents will soon discover that these situations you're being sent in to diffuse are not random incidents, but rather, part of an evil plot, masterminded by two different criminal organizations. The first is a sect of the Russian Mafia (darn those Ruskies), and the second, a Middle Eastern terrorist organization.

Fear not, though, because your team has some new tricks up its sleeve. Ten new crack commandos at its disposal, an arsenal of new weapons, and best of all, sniping capability. Those of you who get your thrills by lurking cowardly in a corner, then shooting unsuspecting victims, THIS IS YOUR DAY! Rejoice.

That demo is a heavy mama - it weighs in at 53 megs. If you want to try out the one mission it offers or the multiplayer craziness, point your downloaderizer at this link
