Outside the Box
Finding more stuff
The fun doesn't stop from inside the box. Roller Coaster Tycoon has an interactive website where you can easily upload/download ride designs from fellow RCT fans. The database is called "the Ride Exchange," and it serves as the world's repository for rides designed by Roller Coaster Tycoon players all around the world! As of now there are thousands of uploaded ride designs that you can take and use in your own games for free! The database is searchable under a variety of criteria to make it easy to use. Obviously the designer was thinking ahead because each ride is only a few bytes in size! This is good because if a ride stinks, then you don't feel like you wasted all this time downloading one.

A very cool website
Hasbro went well out of their way to make the website very much a part of the game; frequent contests are done where owners can compete against each other to design the best rides, etc. Chris Sawyer himself has uploaded 14 coasters designed by himself, and also an extra scenario for you to try out. Overall Hasbro has made great use of their website to give added value to the game, and an interactive element with other owners of Roller Coaster Tycoon.
