Graphics and Conclusion
Graphics and Sound
Soulbringer's graphics are fully 3D and will eventually be accelerated through Direct3D. Our playable copy was software only, but as you can see, the engine does a great job at conveying a dark, moody atmosphere. Outdoor terrain rolls and undulates realistically, while ample foliage and trees pepper the landscape so as not to create a "moonscape" setting. Weather effects like falling snow, and dead leaves swirling in the wind are quite a nice touch as well. Soulbringer's sound is just as impressive, with EAX helping players detect and find nearby foes by the sound of their footsteps.

Summing it up
Soulbringer is due out sometime in the late spring or early summer of this year. The game focuses heavily on story elements and development of the main character, unlike many similar titles whose appeal comes primarily through hack 'n slash. Soulbringer's unique approach to the RPG/adventure genre should help it stand out in what has become a very competitive market. If you're looking for an interesting 3D fantasy adventure, then keep an eye out for Soulbringer!
