After agonizing in front of my inbox all weekend, praying for an e-mail from Valve Software, late Monday night It finally came. The download site and key code for Team Fortress Classic. I was literally shaking with anticipation as I downloaded the files and helped set up the GX TFC West-Side server. After weeks of waiting for Half-Life: Team Fortress only to find out that it was going to be a long time before we could get out hands on it and then finding out that Valve was going to make Team Fortress Classic for Half-Life, I could barely contain myself as the files installed. Well now it's here, and TFC is definitely worth the wait. [Ed note: Being the only TF freak in the building, Nemisis practically DEMANDED to be allowed to write the review!]

This is just the first section of our all-encompassing review. In this section I'll talk have an introduction to TF for everyone, and I'll discuss each of the individual player classes.

Side note: I'm a die-hard Team Fortress player, but I do realize that a lot of you have never played TF or even heard of it before. I'll try to throw in comments for the die-hard TF players and the non-TF players out there - something for everyone. If you're a TF player, skip ahead to the classes section. Otherwise, I suggest you read through the introductions to get a feel of what TF is all about.
