Doing things the Right Way
Remember back when CD ROMs were starting to catch on in the PC scene? Games like Myst and Wing Commander 3 were huge, and everyone thought that CD games with Hollywood actors were the next big thing? Damn that was a joke. I'm really glad those games aren't around anymore, and Hollywood and gaming have separated for the most part (save the few really bad games based on movies). I was wondering when they'd start getting it right, and Undying may the be the answer. It's the first game that pulls off merging books, Hollywood and gaming into a single product - and does it well. I wouldn't be surprised if there's a new trend in PC games because of Undying: horror first-person shooters.

The Story
Like every family, the Covenant family has its problems. Unlike most families, the Covenants deal with turning undead and killing each other on a regular basis. Step in the hero, Patrick Galloway, a WWI friend of Jeremiah Covenant. Jeremiah asks Patrick to help him get to the bottom of his family's curse (after the war Patrick turned into a 1920's ghostbuster). Hilarity ensues. That is, if you consider disembowelment and human sacrifice hilarity.
