The Glacier

What are some good Pentium II heatsink and fan combos? In this section we will be covering some of the popular heatsink and fan combinations. These models aren't the only ones out there, but are popular for a reason.

Net-N-Dude Glacier series: 4500B
The Glacier 4500 is the flagship heatsink and fan combo from Net-n-Dude, and a much talked about item nowadays. It is one of the monster combos, with a big heatsink and 3 fans. For the Slot-1 CPUs, there are 2 models: one for the SECC-1 cartridge, and one for the Celeron. There is not a model for the SECC-2 currently.

The Glacier 4500 has three fans on its anodized aluminum heatsink, and all of them are 50 mm ball bearing fans. With these three fans, the Glacier 4500 is able to move 10 cubic feet per minute (CFM) of air per fan. This is a good amount of air being moved over the heatsink, and having the three fans spread out over the face of the heatsink gets the air out to the outside pins, keeping everything cool. The fans rotate in the 4500-5400 RPM range. This unit costs $35 (U.S.), and is available through Net-n-Dude's resellers.

Back! The SECC-2     More good ones! Next!

The lamest possible joke I could think of:

"What's that you have there on your CPU?"

"Net-n, dude!"

(OMG that was lame.)
