5.25 Bay Coolers

Global Win
Global Win is involved in the hard drive cooling area, of course. They have a few products to meet those hot hard drive cooling needs.

I-Storm
This thing certainly looks cool. The hard drive "sits" inside an enclosure, and air is blown all around it. The I-Storm utilizes a different kind of blower that is more efficient in getting airflow across a wide area.

This allows it to move ~40 CFM of air, although the actual speed of the fan mechanism is only rated around ~2000 RPM by Global Win. The I-Storm fits both 3.5 and 5.25 inch hard drives. Additionally, this unit is pretty quiet. The downside? It costs a bit, and might be difficult to locate. It does, however, come in black or white, something cases should have done a long time ago. Computernerd has it marked as the FAB1HD I-Storm for a not-so-cool $39.95 U.S., and ChipCool has it for $32.95 U.S.

FAH20
The other hard drive cooler by Global Win is a less exotic, but equally functional unit known as FAH20. This unit is less enclosed than the I-Storm. It fits both 3.5inch hard drives. The FAH20 has three fans in the front of the mounting bracket which blow around the hard drive.

The mounting bracket then attaches in one of the bays of your computer. The 3 fans spin at about 4500 RPM, and move about 4.9 CFM. I believe the FAH20 to be the unit sold at ChipCool that is called the "King Kong hard drive cooler" for $21.95 U.S. Also, it seems to be the FA3HD sold by Computernerd, but I have not been able to verify this yet. The FA3HD runs for $29.95 U.S.
