Notes

Based on the OpenGL API, MDK2 has become one of our favorite benchmarks. Performance scales well across multiple CPUs as the resolution is increased as indicated by our tests. As you can see, the Pentium III and Athlon at comparable clock speeds perform extremely close to one another. On an interesting note, the ASUS P3V4X (Based on VIA's 694X Apollo Pro133A chipset) slightly outperforms the P3C-E, our fastest 820 motherboard.

At higher resolutions, the Athlon begins to slightly pull away from a comparable Pentium III in MDK2.
