Depending on which Audigy package is purchased, Creative bundles in different software packages, with the Audigy MP3+ and XGamer having the smallest bundles and the Platinum and Platinum eX having the most abundant. Some of the applications included in the Platinum series would probably cost more than the entire Platinum package if purchased separately.

Here we'll just cover some of the most important and useful apps included.

Creative PlayCenter 3
The PlayCenter 3 is like Creative's end-all, be-all multimedia jukebox. It has all the controls for playback that one would expect and can even play back AC3 audio files through 5.1 channels.

Rip, mix and burn

The good thing about PlayCenter is its ability to write to CDs from within the program. This way, everything can be kept track of easily and organization is trivial when setting up an audio CD to burn. Adjustments to all aspects of audio playback can be done within the PlayCenter. Features like bass redirection, bass/treble levels and EAX AHD settings can all be set with just a few clicks.

Vienna SoundFont Studio 2.3
For those who are musically inclined and love writing their own musical scores, Creative includes Vienna SoundFont Studio to customize the instrument palette in MIDI orchestration. Musicians will find SF Studio to be very useful as the default instrument set offers only satisfactory samples. Upgrades can be purchased at a later date as higher quality instrument samples are required.

ACID DJ 2.0- Sonic Foundry
Sonic Foundry is undoubtedly one of the best sources for audio editing applications. ACID DJ is a mixing applications for those who are interested in in the art of the DJ, or just mixing custom tracks.

CuBasis VST - Steinberg
CuBasis VST is a professional music recording system for MIDI and audio recording. CuBasis is to audio as Adobe PhotoDeluxe is to imaging - as in not quite Photoshop. CuBasis VST can do all the basics as well as many professional audio editing functions but for those who are serious about professional audio editing, we suggest looking into Sonic Foundry's SoundForge.
