The AVE3 has many of the basic ingredients to contend with the best Apollo Pro133A motherboards. The FC-PGA interface ensures longeveity (Intel's Slot 1 interface is slowly being phased out over the course of this year), and the 5 PCI slots leave it in the same league as the MSI 6309 and ASUS CUV4X. For some reason it seems motherboard manufacturers consider five PCI slots adequate for their Apollo Pro133A FC-PGA products, but six a requirement when dealing with Slot 1.
