If you've read our BF6 review, you're already aware of the 120 bus speeds available to choose from. That's right, 120! Besides Abit's BF6, no other product on the market offers as many bus speed options as the BE6-II. If that feature alone isn't a compelling reason to consider the BE6-II, we don't know what is!
We were a little disappointed to see only 3 DIMM sockets on the BE6-II. Abit's older BX6 2.0 offered 4 DIMM's for up to 1GB of SDRAM. Abit removed the 6-chip data buffer present on the BX6 2.0, which is necessary for 4 DIMM sockets to operate reliably.
In any case, 768MB SDRAM should be more than enough for any potential BE6-II customer, especially considering the price of 256MB DIMM's.
