Final Verdict
The BE6 is a good motherboard, but the only real feature it holds over the BX6 2.0 is the Ultra DMA/66 support. That feature alone should be enough for most people, but we were disappointed in the overclocking options. The Soft Menu options didn't worsen in any way, but they didn't get better either. Instead of offering more FSB options, they just changed a couple frequencies around.
We don't like the fact that the older BX6 2.0 motherboard has frequencies not available on the BE6. Yes, the BE6 is better than the BX6 2.0, but only because of the Ultra DMA/66 support. Users that don't have any ATA/66 devices or don't plan on buying any ATA/66 devices have no reason to choose the BE6 over the BX6 2.0.
Note: New beta drivers for the BE6 are available from FiringSquad!
