Call of Duty 4 Demo

Notes

While the CoD 4 demo doesn’t support SLI or CrossFire with today’s latest graphics drivers, we managed to force SLI support by setting the AFR rendering mode to “2” and CrossFire was forced by changing the Catalyst AI slider to “Advanced”. You can also force CrossFire support by renaming the executable to “Oblivion.exe” or “AFR-FriendlyD3D.exe” as well.

We couldn’t get a pair of GeForce 8800 GTS 320MB cards to scale properly in SLI mode. Regardless of what we tried, the cards performed on par with or slower than the single GeForce 8800 GTS 320MB. We did manage to see very good SLI scaling with the other cards though.

For our tests, we used the following graphics settings with texture quality set to “extra”:
