The 400, though fast, is less of a black and white case than the 300A, or even the 366. It's currently the fastest Celeron processor on the market, and it's almost half the cost of an equivalent Pentium II. However, given the success rate of 300A chips overclocking to 450Mhz, available at half of the cost of the Celeron 400, it doesn't seem like such a great deal. However, if speed, budget, and peace of mind are all of prime concern, then the 400 certainly does fill that niche, especially with the cost savings that accompanies the Socket-370 platform.
