Notes
The CUSL2-C features 6 PCI slots with no ISAs. This, along with the removal of onboard sound, makes the CUSL2-C a very attractive motherboard from a features standpoint in our book. Besides removing the VGA connector for onboard graphics, another cost-saving deletion implemented on the CUSL2-C is the removal of the second CNR slot. This leaves the CUSL2-C with one CNR slot located on the bottom of the motherboard.
The most notable feature missing from the CUSL2-C spec list however is PPGA Celeron support. ASUS felt the added costs associated with adding PPGA support to the CUSL2-C weren't worth it to most of their customers. Since FC-PGA Celerons have overtaken PPGA Celerons in the retail segment, this makes sense for someone looking to build a new system, but those upgrading with a PPGA Celeron will have to opt for the traditional CUSL2.
