ELSA's ERAZOR III

It seems that with the current generation of new video cards, based on the new chipsets like the Voodoo3 or TNT2, users are concerned only about the card with the fastest clock speed. Granted, gamers rate speed as an important feature, but what about all the other features that video cards used to come with?

ELSA ERAZOR III

Case in point: The ELSA ERAZOR III. Granted, the ERAZOR III is no slouch at speed. Based on the TNT2 (non-Ultra), but with 32MB of RAM, this card is ready to perform in 2D and 3D. Adhering to nVidia reference specs, it comes at the default TNT2 clock speeds of 125MHz core speed, and 150MHz memory speed. It is based on 32MB of 7ns RAM - a bit on the slow side. While there is room for improvement on the clock speed side, a little tweaking might work some minor wonders.

However, where the ERAZOR III is lagging in clock speed, it more than makes up for in features. This thing comes packed with a lot of extras. The "ViVo" stands for Video In/Video Out, and that is what it has. We're talking multiple video inputs, multiple video outputs, video editing software, software DVD players, a full-featured driver set….the works. On top of all that, there are the 3D REVELATOR glasses. If you don't know what these things are, you're gonna find out!

ELSA is no newbie to the video card industry, as they have produced cards based on various chipsets like the venerable Riva128, the TNT, as well as the Voodoo Banshee. They also have a board out based on the recent Savage4 chipset. In addition to their consumer lines, they have a high-end line that is for professional graphics people. Additionally, ELSA has plans to release an Ultra version of the ERAZOR III sometime in the 3rd quarter of this year. So what sets the ERAZOR III apart from the rest of the TNT2 pack? Come find out what else this full-featured offering from ELSA has!
