Analysis

Though both the RADEON 9000 and 9500 feature four rendering pipelines and a single texture unit, 3D Mark clearly favors the RADEON 9500. However, NVIDIA’s GeForce4 Ti4200-8x bests both cards by a significant margin. If the Ti4200 card were significantly more expensive, this situation would be acceptable, but the Ti4200 card can actually be found for less than the RADEON 9500.
