The Good

The E771 is inexpensive, and it's from a well known brand name manufacturer. It also has all of the standard bells and whistles. Viewsonic has been around for a good, long time, and is well respected as one of the best value monitor manufacturers around.

You might also notice that the specifications of this monitor almost exactly mirror the specs of the Optiquest Q/V73, but at a much more attractive price point. Same specs, same warranty, just looks a little different, and costs roughly 50 dollars less.

The Bad

Compared to the rest of the choices in this round up, which are all very good, solid choices, I don't have a single major complaint about this monitor. It matches nearly all of the features of every other monitor, has a strong brand name, and has an affordable price tag.

The screen surface is probably the most curved out of the whole pack, but it's such a minor difference I find it hard to really make that a point at all. You would have to really scrutinize it next to another CRT to really see the difference. The only other problem people might encounter with this tube would be in playing the "what's the difference?" game between Viewsonic and Optiquest.
