Specifications

Specifications

Total System Frequency Response: 29-20 000 Hz
Maximum acoustic output: 110dB peak at listening position (this is very loud)
Amplifier Headroom: 4 x 60 watts for the Satellites160 watts for the Subwoofer
    Satellite Impedance: 4 Ohms minimum

    Satellite Speakers
  • 0.75 inch polymer dome tweeter with MicroTractrix Horn
  • 3 inch long-throw midbass driver with fiber-composite cone, and urethane surround
    Subwoofer
  • Bass reflex MDF enclosure with front port
  • 2 side firing active 6.5 inch woofers
  • Flared port
  • Sixth Order design
    Dimensions
  • Satellite (including bracket): 8.5" H x 4.2" W x 5.67" D
  • Subwoofer: 9.25 H x 10.25 W x 13 D
    Net Weight
  • System: 28.2 lbs. (12.8 kg)
  • Satellites (each): 2.1 lbs. ( .95 kg)
  • Satellites w/ volume control: 3.31 lbs. (1.49 kg)
  • Subwoofer: 17.5 lbs. (7.95 kg)

Now these are numbers!

As you can see, these specs blow away the competition! Remember the Creative Labs FPS 2000's that we raved about a few weeks ago? Those only had 8 RMS watts per satellite! More power generally means that you can listen to your music louder and with less distortion. Many times, you can run more than 8 watts of power into a set of speakers, even though they were only rated for that much without ill effects, but you will get high levels of distortion as the increased power will cause the drivers to move in ways that were out of their design.
