Rage128 Strikes Again
After a relatively long wait, ATI's Rage 128 is finally reaching retail shelves near you. We were recently blessed with the complete boxed version of the Rage 128 from ATI. Diligent readers of Firing Squad will remember the preview of this card we did back in January based on beta drivers and beta silicon, where I had some issues with 16-bit image quality, DVD acceleration, and driver stability. Have things improved? Is the Rage 128 still relevant in light of recent announcements of imminent availability of the Matrox G400, Voodoo3, TNT2, Permedia3, and Savage 4? Read on.
