ELSA 3D REVELATOR
Funky shades
You may have read in our
Elsa ERAZOR III review that one of the nice things that is supposed to come in the package with the card is the 3D
REVELATOR glasses. We received these glasses with our
ERAZOR III, but were missing a necessary cable for these things to work. So, after contacting Elsa, an efficient contact over there sent the necessary equipment over to us immediately. Of course, we were excited as to the possibilities that the 3D
REVELATOR glasses could bring.
The 3D REVELATOR glasses are currently being bundled with Elsa's ERAZOR II, ERAZOR III, and WINNER II video cards, and comes in two varieties: a corded one and a wireless one. There is no difference between the two models except that one has a cord and one is wireless. In your buying decisions, keep in mind that these 3D Revelator glasses are not being currently sold separately.

So what do you need to play? Well, the obvious hardware is required: a pair of 3D
REVELATOR glasses. The infrared glasses also need the cable that we were missing, which connects the IR signal transmitter to the monitor. You can connect up to 4 of the cabled glasses, or an unlimited number of the infrared glasses to a single system! The only prerequisite of attaching an unlimited number of infrared glasses is that all of them can receive the signal from the little device that sends the signal out.

Other that the glasses, you need DirectX 6.1 installed, which most of you probably have, and the drivers specific to the glasses. The ELSA REVELATOR drivers work within the ELSA ERAZOR III drivers, and our modest attempts to get the ELSA ERAZOR III drivers to work with other TNT2 non-Ultra boards did not work.
