Ballistics Report

Pros

Two sides: With two different mousing surfaces to choose from, there's something for everyone on the sUrface 1030. You might even find yourself flipping back and forth to suit different games.

Low profile and lots of area: At 1/8" thick and 10" x 8.5" in area, the sUrface 1030 gives you a comfortable, low profile and plenty of mousing area.

Washable: The pad is plastic and washable with soap and water, just like an Everglide. Also, any designs that are printed on the pad will never wash off. The reason is that the plastic pad actually consists of three layers - two translucent layers sandwiching an opaque one. Any designs printed on the pad are actually printed on the reverse side of the outer layers. This is practical because there's no colored paint on the pad to interfere with your mousing experience. Again, we're probably harping on a trivial matter, but every little bit counts.

Optional cord clip: The clip can attach to any of six points on the pad, and holds your mouse cord, giving you the optimum length for comfortable mousing.

Cons

Price: It's not appreciably more expensive than an Everglide, but $20 is still a somewhat steep price to pay for a mouse pad. We think it's well worth it though.

Three piece assembly: Having to put the pad back in the rubber base after moving might get annoying to some people. Also, the clip is slightly difficult to slip into the base. We're really nitpicking here though.
