These are the theoretical limits of the sound card. As usual, your real world performance will probably be a little less. Unfortunately in this case the performance of the DMX is stunted with feature poor drivers. This is not TerraTec's fault, but rather ESS's. ESS has been planning to release WDM drivers for the Canyon 3D to fully enable all the card's features in Windows. These drivers are expected in the next few weeks. Keep this tidbit in mind as we take you through the wonderful world of the DMX.
